Technology always set milestones in the field of business. Whenever there is a problem or present technology is insufficient to perform the desired effect, technology blesses business sector with a new invention. We feel drastic changes in the field of technology. Even we won't get familiar with one equipment or invention; the next to it comes in the scenario. Technology puzzles the businessman. Every second there is a twist in technique even in the series of single machine. Training is the core part of a business sector. Training requires a lot of attention, care, perfection of trainer and technique which make it effective and result oriented. Technology has given various non electronic and electronic gadgets which have been proved best of their time in result oriented training programmes. Blackboards, whiteboards, mikes, recorders, video tapes, computers, internet (online training) the list is becoming lengthier and addition is continuing.  This time we are blessed with a new technique in the field of training and this technique is Interactive White Board technology.  It supports modern approaches to learning, moving away from the traditional training rooms and promoting individual learning pathways. The research also suggested that a variety of measures should be employed to further enhance the use of e-Content. These IWBs are the boards of third millennium which enhances interactivity in the training programme. This article will discuss the Utility of IWB in training programme.

The term TRAINING refers to the acquisition of knowledge, skills, and competencies as a result of the teaching of vocational or practical skills and knowledge that relate to specific useful competencies. In addition to the basic training required for a trade, occupation or profession, observers of the labor-market [update]recognize the need to continue training beyond initial qualifications.

Training is found useful not only for the new learners but also for the already employed workforce to maintain, upgrade and update skills throughout working life. People within many professions and occupations may refer to this sort of training as professional development. Training makes them up to date, confidence, tech- friendly and good learner, at any stage, which brings continuity to their life and career.

Training session can be further divided on the bases of the work nature some time related machinery is required to give technical knowledge in the workshops or laboratory, but theoretical aspects of every training can be done in short sessions through boards or charts. At the time of theoretical lecture, IWB is proved tool for enhancing skills.

Actually these are the whiteboards which have given tremendous power in the hands of trainer to make training easy, effective and result oriented. An interactive whiteboard is a large, touch-sensitive board available in different sizes. It is emerging as a necessary training tool in any training room. These days this is a desirable peripheral for training. The whiteboard is connected to a digital projector and a computer. The whiteboard's screen becomes a "live" giant computer desktop when hooked up to a computer and can be touched or tapped to pull down menus, highlighting text, and move, open or save files, showing difficult processors and graphics. Users can also circle relevant sections on the projected image, draw geometric figures, and underline also. Then they can save the screen with complete annotations which can then be communicated by different ways like e-mails, share server, or print out.

                                                                 SET-UP OF WORKING ON IWB

It is to remember that whiteboards may be hooked through wires or without wires. Most interactive whiteboards connect to computers via USB cables and need LCD projectors in order to project a computer image onto the screen. The projector displays the image from the computer screen on the board. The computer can then be controlled by touching the board, either directly (with the finger) or with a special pen. Some recent models of IWB communicate wirelessly using Bluetooth technology and have an integrated projector behind the screen. These models are more convenient and have fewer wires. Basically there are two types of whiteboard 'hard' (electromagnetic technology) which require a special electronic pen, and 'soft' (resistive technology) whereby the finger (or sometimes a pen) is used.

A number of manufacturers of interactive whiteboards are offering a variety of specifications and capabilities at a suitable range of prices. Some brand names in interactive technologies are STARBOARD, INTERBOARD, EBEAM, NUMONICS, MIMIO, POLYVISION, ACTIVEBOARD, and SMART BOARD.

IWBs are considered as a complex project rather than as a straightforward procurement transaction. Trainer needs some prerequisites before handling a training session for business executives. This electronic board is not just a replacement for the traditional blackboard (writing with a stylus instead of chalk): the board is also regarded as a media centre all material necessary for training can be accessed in every training room at any time. Every required material related to training session should be stored on the network.

The optimal use of IWBs is only possible if this technology is combined with high-grade network architecture. With the overall aim of creating a digital training environment, i.e. all materials required for teaching, (training material, audio and video examples, feedback forms, overhead transparencies etc.) are available in digital form on the network and accessible at anytime from anywhere. All media can also be accessed via the internet to support training session. Consequently,

Some time it is more important how to handle the things rather than its theoretical knowledge the using IWB effectively is not an exception of it. After having the knowledge of IWB and other associated accessories we must go through the golden practical rules of 'how to bring effectiveness in the classroom'.

1. Never stand in the way of beam which is directed from pfojector
2. White Board should be visible to all so it should be placed on a moderate height.
3. Mounted speakers are better rather than relying on the internal speaker within the projector. This means that sound should be of better quality.
4. Font type and size should be seen easily at the back of training room Always check it out from the furthest position before the session starts.
5. Use background colors other than white pale, pastel colors can help improve legibility. A high-contrast combination should be used to improve the visibility, such as a black background with white or yellow text.
6. Full screen utilities within applications should be implemented. For example - when viewing a website using Microsoft Internet Explorer, press F11 on your keyboard to remove all of the toolbars at the top of the page, displaying your web page in a much larger screen, and making the page more visible.
7. Time can be saved by keeping wireless near to the whiteboard for times when you or the learners want to add text. This saves moving back to the computer each time you need to enter text.
8. If you are going to use a website in a lesson, add it to your favorites/bookmarks in order to access it without typing in complex web addresses.
9. Use 'floating tools' to add notes and annotations over any page on your computer screen; whether using word-processing software, presentation software or the internet, you can highlight text and use different colored pens to add comments to any page that appears on your screen.
10. Try and create documents where you do not need to scroll up and down instead of three paragraphs on one page, add one paragraph to three pages. Space your work well to leave room for annotations and comments, which can be retained if you don't need to scroll up and down the document.
11. When creating your own presentations use copyright free images. A picture can be worth a thousand words!

The need of training can not be neglected. And the technique should match the requirement of the present scenario. Today in the fast tech world the old training equipments or tools would not be much effective. The tools based on present technology and are considered latest today would become out dated and ineffective when the next technology comes in the scene. IWB is the latest and result oriented in the field of training. The training given by traditional board is not much appreciated in the present era. The regular white boards are not suitable for training when we have such an interactive tool in our hands for training of employees. There are lots of illusions about how to use it for training purpose. How can it help out the trainees to understand the theoretical or numerical aspects? IWB can be used in different innovative ways to make training sessions live and interesting. Not only power point presentation but it can support many features which enable the trainer to achieve expertise in the field of traing. If provided, a complete knowledge is taken before going to classroom.

Below are given some multidimensional usage of IWB.

1 Presentation and Project: multimedia projects can be presented with the IWB, controlling the entire presentation without touching a computer keyboard. PPT on the training material can be operated with the experience you had never before.

2 Web Streaming and Video. trainer can show streamed or downloaded video clips using programs like Windows Media Player and QuickTime. Clips embedded into multimedia presentation programs can easily be shown as well. The interactive features of the whiteboard allow users to pause, circle, annotate, highlight, and more. Of course, a DVD or VHS player can be connected to the projector, too.

3 Printing and Saving Notes. Interactive whiteboards let users print or save anything they've written. After having discussion the relevant topic can be supplied later on demnd as IWB is equipped with storage and print facility

4 Encouraging Critical Thinking. Interactive whiteboards encourage critical thinking. During the live session on any topic may bring an idea in the mine of any employee and he can at the very point can share it with the class as IWB gives the liberty to the trainer to pause or start the session at any point of the training.

IWB not only provide trainer with multiple facility to train the people but also make the session very much inserting, interactive and fruitful. IWB helps trainer

1. To bring interactivity in the sessions
2. to make open environment
3. to make feedback easily through personal system
4. to analyze thing as he/she has enough time to explore the minds of trainees
5. to save time as there is less need of writing on the board if trainer comes to class with complete homework done for the session
6. to make things very much clear through neatly made flipcharts
7. to maintain proper response system during the session
8. to bring the feeling of confidence regarding handling the latest technology
9. to bring the latest up-dates on the topic covered during session as IWB enables trainer to explore internet and store the material in different means
10. to save energy as there is no need of writing, drawing or rubbing on the board

Technology carves its impact on every sector but industry and business sectors are always first to grab the opportunity to get benefit from the new invention. Interactive White Boards (IWB's) are quickly becoming a common tool in business sector to train their employees in different context. Training is becoming much easier, interesting and interacting. IWB is emerging as an innovative tool for learning, understanding and teaching in every sector. Paired with a computer, internet access and supporting instructional software, these tools provide both, the trainer or trainee, access to a vast library of resources for instruction and provide the added feature of interactivity.
