Everybody in corporate world is talking about" EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE "known as EQ. why this concept has gained the
attention of many research scholars and why it is discussed as an important issue? Do we need to discuss as a separate topic or can it be combined with other behavioral aspects like attitude, perception etc? Emotional intelligence
is more than these.
Emotional intelligence is nothing but how best a person handles a situation in stress full conditions by using his physical, emotional,

decision as it has an impact on the success of the organization.HR takes a lot of time and spends lot of money in choosing the right person by choosing the right source of recruitment to choose the employees with high emotional
intelligence. A leader alone cannot execute the plans and strategies as the organization is run by group .Leader is success full only when he has the high performance team who can manage any type of situation in a very effective
manner. Every individual in the team should be highly skilled highly matured attitude to handle different situation.
Present HR is looking for strong personalities having high commitment, consistency, energetic, willing to
work for long hours, taking challenges, multi skilled, highly flexible, mobile ,high confidence, high patience, initiation. Organization's great asset is Human capital. The organizations who are strong in human capital can adapt to
the change very easily than the organizations without the strong human capital.
