A margin of 10000/Rs differences she observed in her salary with that in Prof. Dholakia. She observed greater disparity of management decision in giving more compensation package to a person who has same experience and below qualifications, compared to her. She become so annoyed and lodged a grievance letter to the Director General (Management).  When the Director General looks into the meter he observed the same disparity. He called the Director of the institute to for a confidential analysis and asked him to submit a report within one week. The relationship between the Director and Prof Uma Sreenivasan has not been congenial, starts from her appointment. As per the discussion, the institute Director taken up all the files of these two Assistant Professors and made a confidential analysis and there by prepared a report. He sent that report to the Director General within one week showing his own conclusion on the matter and for further proceeding. The Director General called a meeting of the Directors to discuss this issue for an open analysis. Some of the Directors in the meeting didn't like Prof. Uma Sreenivasan and purposefully they have gone against the decision for a pay hike to Prof. Uma Sreenivasan. Since, majority Directors went against the decision to hike her salary, and finding some discrepancy in the discussion, the Director General decided to go for second level analyses to get further details. He asked one of the senior HR Professor of the institute go for further analysis and asked him to report within three days. In addition to that he directed the HR Professor to go for student and feed back feedback also in this matter. As per the direction the HR Professor look into the matter and found that the complaint lodged by Prof. Uma Sreenivasan is justifiable to a certain extend. Instead of taking a conclusion by him self he sent the report and feedback letter to the Director for further proceedings.  The details of the report and the letter of HR Professor to the Director General are detailed as follows.
