Financial Supports: Selected candidates will be given a monthly stipend of Rs.10,000/- for the first two years, Rs.15,000/- for the third and fourth years and Rs.18,000/- far the fifth year. Students will

Announces admission to Ph.D. Programme (Full-time & Part-time)

Objective: The main objective of the Ph.D. Programme is to provide facilities for higher studies and advance Research in international business, specifically in the broad disciplines of (a) International Trade Policy (including WTO Issues), (b) Marketing (c) Business Strategy, (d) Finance, and (e) Economics,
Development Economics & related issues.
Eligibility: Candidates must have a master's degree in one of the approved disciplines like: Economics/ Commerce/Mathematics/Statistics/Operational Research/Business Administration/M.Tech.
of any approved university with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade.
All candidates must fulfill the eligibility requirement in terms of clearing the UGC's NET (Research Fellowship)
/CSIR or any other Examination for doctoral work, including M.Phil. Degree.
Selection: Selection of the candidates will be done on the following basis: (1) Eligible candidates are required to appear in the IIFT Research Aptitude Test, which will be held at four centres in India; Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata and Mumbai. The IIFT Research Aptitude Test will have two broad sections and may be in the form of objective type questions: Current National and International Economic Issues and Research Methodology. Short-Listing will be done on the basis of the merit list after the Aptitude Test.
(2) Candidates so short-listed will be required to submit a detailed synopsis on the Research Project Proposal as per the guidelines to be issued in this regard, besides a copy of any one of his/her important research paper. (3) For final selection, candidates will be invited for Viva/Interview at Delhi after taking into account 1&2 above. (4) In the case of Foreign Nationals, GMAT score, synopsis on the Research Project Proposal and Research Paper will be considered for shortlisting; in such cases also the final selection
will be done on the basis of interview.

www.iift.edu . The candidates need to attach two photographs and a crossed DD of Rs.500/-  drawn in favour of
Indian Institute of Foreign Trade payable at New Delhi with the application.

In pursuance of the Policy Framework for promotion of Post Graduate Education and Research in Technical Education as announced by Ministry of Human Resource Development, the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) offers NDF to eligible candidates to pursue Doctoral Programmes. Under the
NATIONAL DOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP (NDF) scheme Fifty (50) Doctoral Fellowships will be offered to selected candidates in emerging areas / disciplines of Technical Education by AICTE to pursue Doctoral programme. Objective: To attract highly qualified and motivated candidates to pursue doctoral degree and offer themselves for teaching positions in the Technical Education System. To provide research support to bright young candidates for pursuing exciting and innovative research in the field of Technical Education.

Details of Scheme: * Scholarship @ Rs.12,000/- per month per candidate. * Contingency grant of Rs.25,000/- per annum per candidate. * Overhead charges of' Rs.20,000/- per annum per candidate to the host institution i.e. institution where the candidate will be pursuing Ph.D. / Doctoral Programme.
Eligibility: (1) The candidate should be less then 35 years of age on 31/08/2005. However age relaxation of 5 years would be given to candidates belonging to SC/ST, women & Physically challenged category.
(2) Those who have already secured admission on or after 1st Sept. 2004 as full time candidates and are in the first year of their doctoral programme in the selected Host Institutions given below are eligible to apply. The date of registration should be between 01/09/2004 and 31/08/2005.
Selection Procedure: The candidates who satisfy the screening criteria as decided by AICTE, will have to appear for an interview. Based on the performance of the candidates in the interview, a merit list of candidates shall be prepared by the AICTE, from which the final selection of candidates for
the scheme shall be made.
Period of Scholarship: The scholarships shall be given for a period of 3 years.
