IIM-A grad gets record salary
 

IIMA student Sameer Nigam has bagged a record Rs16 lakh offer, the highest annual salary package, from GenPact in the lateral placement category.

The thirty year old son of an IAS officer is an mechanical engineering graduate from Indian Institute of Technolgy (IIT) Kanpur specialising in laser technology.

Sameer has worked for six years experience before he joined IIMA.

He has worked abroard for Tata Consultancy Services and other companies.

Lateral placements are job offers accepted by IIMA students who has more than 18 months work experience.

Lateral offers are usually finalised before the actual placements around January while students will pass out in June.

The highest offer in the lateral placement category was 14.5 lakh last year.
