Interview Dates - 2006 FPM Applicants

The interviews have been scheduled to be held on April 25 (Tuesday) & 26 (Wednesday), 2006 at XLRI Jamshedpur.

The selected candidates (list is given below) are advised to attend the interview keeping in mind that you have a Master's degree or its equivalent in any discipline, or CA, ICWA, or CS with at least 55% marks (45% for SC/ST candidates) or a BE/B.Tech degree or its equivalent with at least 60% marks (50% for SC/ST candidates).

Individual Interview Call Letters are being sent to you through courier by our FPM Office.

The selected candidates are expected to bring along

1. our Interview Call Letter
2. all original certificates and testimonials
3. copies of any research/project work you have carried out and
4. a proof of your work experience, if any, to the interview for our verification

In addition to the above, the Non-XAT candidates are expected to bring along

a proof of "GMAT / GRE / GATE / UGC JRF (research) Score" or transcripts indicating CQPI of at least 6.00 or equivalent in their PGP from XLRI, any IIM, MDI Gurgaon, FMS Delhi, or XIM Bhubaneswar".

As per the Institute rules, you will be reimbursed the second class to-and-fro railway fare from your mailing address to Jamshedpur (Tatanagar Railway Station) by the shortest route. Board and lodging facilities will be extended to you by the Institute in our students' hostel during your interview day.

General Information

Please note that the railway station in Jamshedpur is called Tatanagar.
The XLRI campus is about 7 kms from Tatanagar Station. It is in the Circuit House Area (next to the Jubilee Park).
Auto-rikshaws and taxis are easily available at Tatanagar Station. The rates (subject to vary) for a trip to XLRI are around Rs.70/- to 80/- and Rs.175/- to 200/- respectively.

Attn. Selected XAT Applicants

You are advised to select one area of specialization for doing FPM at XLRI from the list given below:

Economics / Finance / Information Systems / Marketing / Operations Management / Organizational Behaviour / Personnel Management & Industrial Relations or Human Resource Management / Strategic Management.

Please send an email immediately (on or before April 5th, 2006) indicating your choice of AREA to fpm@xlri.ac.in giving your Name, XAT ID and Area of Choice.

After receiving above inputs from you, we will indicate the exact date
(25th or 26th April) and time of interview for all.
