OBJECTIVE

Indian management schools (affiliated to universities and/or approved by AICTE) are constantly striving to add value to their students by quality education. Case studies simulating real life situations in a class room setting are an important pedagogical tool in management education. They have become an essential requirement to impart quality management education.

To operationalize this vision, there is a need to train, reorient, reenergize, reactivate management faculty on case writing and case teaching. This workshop is designed with a view to impart and strengthen case study writing and teaching skills among faculty members of business schools. 

This programme will:

1. Help participants learn about nuances of case writing and teaching.
2. Provide a structured learning process to develop a case study.
3. Help appreciate the complexities involved in case writing and teaching.
4. Help understand the preparation necessary to plan and write a case.
5. Help understand role and importance related to teaching note and its preparation.

FOR WHOM

This course is designed for faculty members of business schools in both University and AICTE approved institutions. Programme is also useful for fellow/ Ph. D. students and those aspiring to teach management courses in business schools on regular/visiting basis. 

Certificates of participation will be issued to participants.

PEDAGOGY

The program shall use experiential learning through design, illustration and use of cases as part of the workshop activity.  Participants will get an opportunity to share their experience and thoughts with workshop faculty and management practitioners and actually develop case in real time.
