Dr. Sridhar Vaithianathan

Sridhar Vaithianathan is an faculty in Operations and IT department of IBS,
Hyderabad (IFHE Deemed University) in India. He has completed his Ph. D in
Management from ICFAI University, Dehradun. He researched about determinants and impact of E-Commerce Adoption in Indian financial services sector for his thesis work. He is in the field of education and training for eleven years. He received his MBA and BE degrees from National Institute of Technology (NIT), Warangal and M.S.University, Tamilnadu respectively.

He is also a NET (National Eligibility Test for lectureship and research in India, a test conducted by the national educational testing bureau of University Grants Commission (UGC)) qualified faculty in management studies.

He has spent about a year @ University of Toledo, Toledo, Ohio, USA as a Visiting Scholar during Aug 2007 June 2008 where he had the opportunity to do research alongside some of the distinguished professors in the field on management research.

He is a trainer in Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), a contemporary statistical technique to analyze complex relationship in research. Through his workshops, he has given training to many research scholars, doctoral students, faculty
members and industry executives in Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) using AMOS software. He has also attended

'Partial Least Square (PLS)' techniques (another contemporary statistical technique) workshop, organized by Geoffrey S. Hubona, Associate Professor, Georgia State University, Atlanta, Georgia in January 8&9, 2010 and in Jan 9
& 10, 2013. Apart from this, he has sound knowledge in multivariate techniques.

He has published in both international and national journals of repute, viz. Electronic Commerce Research, IUP Journal of Systems management & FedUni Journal of Higher Education. He has attended and presented papers in renowned conferences both national and international. Some of them include, conferences hosted by Midwest Decision Sciences Institute (DSI), 2008, Pennsylvania, USA;
Association of Information System (AIS), 2008, Toronto, Canada; Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore, 2008; Pacific Asia Conference on Information Systems (PACIS), 2009, ISB, Hyderabad; and IIM Calcutta, December 2010. He is also in the review board of many scholarly journals of
repute. His research interests include E-Commerce adoption, Technology Adoption, online (Internet) research, e-learning, RFID and Customer Relationship Management.

He teaches subjects related to information systems and marketing to MBA students. He is a trained faculty in SAP ERP and has obtained training from certified trainers of SAP University Alliances (UA) of SAP Inc. He has taught modules such as Sales and Distribution (SD), Materials Management (MM), Production Planning (PP) and Financial and Controlling (FICO). He also has high proficiency in MS EXCEL.

ABOUT THE EPSI

EPSI has a three-tier Management system consisting of : The Managing Committee which comprises of Educationists, Economists, Industrialists, Intellectuals and Researchers, elected through a democratic process; a Think Tank Advisory Committee comprising of eminent Educationists, Industry Representatives and Users with rich experience to take the country forward and; a Secretariat to execute the desired objective. EPSI formed by a group of senior educationists, educational entrepreneurs, intellectuals, industry leaders and policy makers, EPSI has assumed a catalytic role in promoting the growth and quality of education in India. The Society coordinates between Government and institutional operators, between academia and industry, between the student community and beneficiary employers, and between national and international bodies committed to the advancement and improvement of education.

About the Program

Multivariate data exploration is an integral requirement of business executives and researchers. Business researchers, many a time, find themselves severely constrained in their research works due to lack of adequate understanding of statistical analysis and techniques. Research data often remains unanalyzed and
unpublished on this account. Building awareness, understanding, and appreciation of the systematic use of statistical methods, software, and analytical techniques are vital for business research. The proposed FDP aims to improve the statistical and analytical skills of business researchers. This FDP is to make researchers more comfortable in advance tools in multivariate analysis and structural equation modeling. This program is designed to provide an interactive platform to enhance understanding of such techniques as well as providing hands-on experience in analyzing data using software for statistical analysis.

Multi Variate Analysis and Structural Equation Modeling is focused on the application and interpretation of statistical models that are designed for the analysis of multivariate data with latent variables. Although the traditional multiple regression model is a powerful analytical tool within the social sciences, this is also highly restrictive in a variety of ways. Not only are all variables assumed to have no measurement error, but it is also limited to a single dependent variable with unidirectional effects. The structural equation model (SEM) generalizes multiple regressions to include multiple dependent variables, reciprocal effects, indirect effects, and the estimation and removal of measurement error through the inclusion of latent variables.

The SEM is a general framework that allows for the empirical testing of research hypotheses in ways not otherwise possible. In this workshop we provide a comprehensive exploration of the SEM with topics ranging from introductory to advance. The general structure of each day is lecture-based instruction and others methods and models estimation using Amos. Participants are welcome to bring personal laptop computers to follow along with the software demonstrations or to work on their own data applications.
