IIM Kozhikode declares closure of
Placements season 2013

The Placements Office at IIM Kozhikode takes great pleasure to inform you that the Final & Lateral placements processes for PGP15 batch have been completed with successful placement for everyone participating in the process. Though the placements scenario is not rosy across the campuses, with several of our egular recruiters picking fewer students than usual, we were able to invite and bring on campus several new names that are revered in the industry. This is due to the consistent efforts put in by everyone in the Placements Team, coupled with the undying support from the Institute and its members."I would like to put on record our gratitude to the Alumni who came out in large numbers to recruit from Kozhikode. It is an honor to report that a significant number of students would be joining companies, such as EduRaft, Vista Mind, Sugee Group, V2 Solutions & CampHire, started or being run by our very own students," said Prof. Kulbhushan Balooni, Chairperson Placements. While Finance and Sales & Marketing continued to be our forte, this year witnesses several key roles being offered to our students in other verticals as well. HUL, ITC, Nestle, Asian Paints, Britannia and Pidilite were some of the top names offering Sales & Marketing roles, while Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs, Citi Bank, HSBC, DE Shaw, Fidelity Investments, ICICI, Axis Bank, SBI Caps, offered roles in Corporate Finance, Treasury, Risk Management and Investment Banking. Students looking at General Management roles cashed in this year with Cipla and Bosch picking several students for their leadership roles. This is apart from the regulars like of TAS, Reliance Industries, L&T and Mahindra & Mahindra, who offered coveted leadership programs in their organizations.

In the consulting sector, top recruiters include McKinsey, Deloitte, KPMG, Cognizant Business Consulting, IBM Consulting and Wipro Consulting Services.
IT Consulting continued to be our mainstay this year, however niche consulting sectors saw an increase in their presence on campus, which is a heartening trend in the right direction. This year the placements season also saw active participation from several of the Mid-cap and Small-cap companies, with students taking greater interest in exploring opportunities with such organizations offering challenging roles. "We pride ourselves in producing students with a perfect amalgamation of skills required for both global and local Business Leadership requirements. This is evident from the continued trust our recruiters have placed in us as a preferred destination for talent sourcing," said Prof. Debashis Chatterjee, Director, IIM Kozhikode.
