Christ Institute of Management starts campus operations at Lavasa City
Launches two year full time PGDM courses with specializations in
Finance and Marketing
Courses commence from June 2014


20th May 2014, Mumbai: Christ Institute of Management (CIM), established by Christ University Trust which is the promoter of reputed Christ University, Bangalore has started its campus operations at Lavasa City, India's first hill city located near Pune. This makes CIM one of the largest educational players to set up a base at Lavasa City. At present, CIM will offer two-year full-time PGDM courses with specialization in Finance and Marketing from this June and will subsequently increase number of courses to further enrich Lavasa City's educational landscape.

Speaking on the association Mr. Nathan Andrews, President & CEO, Lavasa Corporation Ltd. said, "Our collaboration with Christ Institute of Management is in line with Lavasa City's vision of creating a collaborative hub of education and training with best-in-class institutes from across the world. Commenting on the commencement of CIM Lavasa City campus, Dr (Fr) Varghese, Director, CIM Lavasa, said, "We are very happy to get associated with the city of Lavasa and establish an Institute of Management extending our experience in the field of Indian Higher education to this emerging centre of learning."

The curriculum and pedagogy at CIM Lavasa City is geared to nurture managers for the future with emphasis in holistic education and integral development. Personal mentoring, corporate interface, industry visits and live projects are part of the training ensuring industry ready professionals by the completion of the program. The teaching methodology includes simulation, role plays, blended learning etc. to enhance the analytical and problem solving skills of the students making them effective decision makers and leaders in a complex and globalized corporate world.

Other educational tie-ups associated with Lavasa City include AOC, UK, Pearson, Little Millennium, UKIBC, Biomimicry Guild USA, City & Guilds, Great India, University of Northampton, Christel House, Doon Public School, Symbiosis University Pune, Ecole Hoteliere de Lausanne and Educomp.
