Chairperson, Enactus Somaiya Social Cell,

"In the Indian education system, the 'pay off ' comes after a long time.and it has been observed that even though a person is educated, he is not necessarily employable. The budget talks of Skill India to coordinate with Make in India. A good move to focus on vocational training, which is the need of the hour specially for the underprivileged.
It will give them a means to meet the immediate requirement of their family and other dependents."

Dr Radha Iyer, Associate Professor,
K.J. Somaiya Institute of Management Studies & Research, Vidyavihar:

"There are provisions in the budget for encouraging entrepreneurship, innovation and incubation for the start up community which is welcome. Increasing job creators instead of job seekers is a good move. The budget includes provisions for , Rupees One thousand crore for IT start ups, Rupees One hundred thousand for Self . utilization & talent utilization scheme - SETU & the reduction of royalty for start ups from 25% to 10%.

The quote on Budget 2015 in Education Sector from

Dr. R. G. Karandikar, Professor and Dean (Academic Program),
K. J. Somaiya College of Engineering, Vidyavihar:

"The Union Budget 2015 has proposed to start IIMs, IITS, IIM and other central government institutes. It is a good step. I fully support expansion of such premier institutes all over the India but the most challenging will be the keeping up quality of education at par to the standards these institutes are known for. An educational loan scheme for higher education is a good move and this will encourage the poorer students to pursue higher education as cost of UG / PG education is very high. I think education loan should also include hostel accommodation expenses along with the tuition fee payment. This will help students to select the institutes across the country and will also help particularly those who are staying away from the education hubs."
