Introduction:

Maan Pharmaceuticals Ltd. is a group company of good luck group. The good luck group is involved in multifaceted business like pharmaceuticals formulation s manufacturing, two wheeler, three wheeler & four wheeler distribution, submersible pump distribution, HDPE WOVEN SACK MANUFACTURING for fertilizer and cement industry and cable manufacturing.

"The company having a strong prescription base earned through ethical promotion will survive in the long run". This was the string connection with which company start its ethical operations in states of Gujarat and Rajasthan. On successful launch in these two states, company started spreading its wings in Orissa, up, Harayana, and Bihar gradually in the years 1995-96,1996-97, 1997-98 respectively .the Company is consolidating its base in the above mentioned states before venturing into other territories.

By the 4th year i.e. 1996-1997 companies started getting bulk business from institution. In the span of three years, company has a reputed clientele list which includes NGO's, Tamilnadu govt. / Gujarat govt., Punjab govt., Orissa govt., Tripura govt., Megalaya & central govt. Company also does business in Russia, East Africa and European countries like Belgium. In a total span of 7years, the company has achieved an initial growth rate of 100% in 5 consecutive years. Since the last two years company is growing at the rate of 150%.

The organization, which started its operation in a very humble way, is poised to become a pharmacy major. The basic requisite to develop infrastructure and to boost the confidence of the profession, the organization HAS ACQUIRED good. Manufacturing Practice as recommended by WHO and total quality and system implementation through ISO 9002.

Now the organization, with its inbuilt strengths is prepared to grow progressively and achieve 100 crore turnover by 2005. To achieve this goal, company has almost renovated its plant and is planning to meet FDA (USA), MCA (UK??), and TGA (Australia) standards. The organization started its production with tablet, liquid, capsules and powders and ORS department. Now the organization is expanding and commissioning a new inject able unit, ointment department, hormone department and natural product unit.

The company is producing and marketing its products for various medical specialties like Gynecologists, Physicians, Orthopaedicians and others. The product profile of the company includes Antibiotics, Multivitamins, Haemostatic, Anti allergic, Anathematic, Antitussive and Natural products.

MAAN PHARMACEUTICALS LTD. has started its full-fledged production and commercial activities in the year 1993. At present company is manufacturing all kinds of pharmacy tablets, capsules, syrup and powder. Company has made expansion cum diversification in the year 2002. The Company has increased its production capacity of the products, which are manufacture by it, and simultaneously it has started to produce new products by way of installing production line for injection, ointment and hormones.

Wages & Salary Administration

Wages & salary is important factors by which company can satisfy their employees. If company provide good wages & salary to their employees, than the employees will be satisfied and they will work with interest, so that productivity of the employees will be high due to giving then enough salary.

The Maan Pharmaceuticals Ltd. pays wages mostly on monthly basis. There is also policy of daily wages only that unskilled labor in the packing department. Salary normally paid to clerical administrative and professional employees on monthly basis.

The Maan Pharmaceuticals Ltd. giving total salary up to Rs. 2.5 Lac per month but now company has gate WHO quality product so that special skilled professional will required so company now pays salary up to Rs. 6.0 Lac per month.

There are various levels of salaries for different level of employees, which is as under.

RECRUITMENT & SELECTION:

* RECRUITMENT:

They give advertisement in newspaper for recruitment of top level employees.

* SELECTION:

The success of MAAN PHARMA depends upon the skills and capability of its application towards company's growth. Management selects top-level employees or manager. They keep interview program for selecting right and efficient candidate. They select two candidates for one position.

* PROMOTION:

MAAN PHARMA gives promotion on the basis of seniority. The company also promotes the employees on the basis of their experience.

* INSENTIVES & WELFARE SCHEMES FOR EMPLOYEES:

Most of the workers are coming far away from the company. Hence they are providing transportation facilities to them. Workers are provided free medicines of company's brand. The company share very harmonious relation with the workers. The problem resolving mechanism is very formal. In case of any complain the Workers first meet the department supervisor and head. Only for the serious problem where the Supervisors are not able to provide solution the problem is to carry to personal manager. The company also provide gratuity after completion of ten years to any employee. After separation from the company they provide provident fund to the every employee.

SWOT Analysis:

STRENGHT:

1) Company having WHO, GMP& ISO-9002 registration and adopting best quality control techniques.

2) MAAN PHARMA has advantage of lower conversion cost as compare to the big multinationals/

3) Company manufacturing life saving drugs on which sales tax and excise is levied. Big corporate engaged in this line, but they are not manufacturing life saving drugs in sizable quantity. Here MAAN PHARMA have upper hand and can better product mix to their client.

WEAKNESS:

1) MAAN PHARMA LTD. not having their own R&D department.

OPPORTUNITY:

1) Company's market is expanded from India to Foreign Countries.

2) Company received sales tax exemption form the Govt. of Gujarat. Because of this product at a better rate as compared to other competitors. Because of this they can have upper hand to quote at Govt. tender.

THREATS:

1) Company has to face competition from the other local companies like TORRENT, INTAS, CADILA, LINKON etc. apart from the above company they face competition from the multinational companies.

CONCLUSION

The company started in small scale and become the largest company by its good performance. The company has proven that "Every thing is possible if all the work is done in right manner,"

MAAN PHARMA not to work for profit but it provides good product to Doctors, Chemist, and Customers etc. at a reasonable price. MAAN PHARMA also takes care of nature at DEDIYASAN PLANT (Mehsana). I have found no type of pollution.

I found that company's Marketing strategy, financial position, &Human Resource Management are very satisfactory. Here I am ending Project Report of MAAN PHARMACEUTICAL LTD. that is best progressive company. The company will have bright future. The next millennium will see MAAN PHARMACEUTICALS LTD. Geographic expansion both in International as well as in Domestic market.
