SSIM has been the pioneer in offering management programs to students, corporate besides running public schools in various parts of the state of Andhra Pradesh. The institute has been the first to introduce high-tech classrooms of international standards with new pedagogy
for better learning by the students.
BACKGROUND OF THE SEMINAR
There has been a growing interest in the concept of i management for dynamic, growth oriented corporate. Most of the theories are western in their orientation, less often found to be successful in our context. Despite such lessons, the corporations are still driven by the western thought of management. However, in the recent times, there has been a growing realization of revisiting the original repository of Indian wisdom for a reality of Indian business. Thus, keeping this need in mind, a two-day seminar is conceptualized to create a platform for sharing and exchanging views and ideas on the i management. This platform will provide wide spectrum of knowledge and wisdom from both the corporate and
academic worlds, synthesizing them for a concrete contextual foundation that will craft
a promising strategy for the future Indian corporate body.

THEMES
* Origins of Indian management * Revisiting Indian management * Indian management approaches and styles * Indian management and the information technology * Family business : the Indian management way * Small business – what's new about them? * Indian management literature * Research on Indian management * Cases on Indian management * Services management in India * NGOs and Indian management

ABOUT US

Bharathidasan institute of Management
The concept of a business school in association with a large organization was the result of deliberations among academicians and industrialists. Born out of this was Bharathidasan institute of Management (BIM), nurtured by public sector giant BHEL to become one of the premier bschool in the country.
The BIM- BHEL relationship in the course of past twenty years has been characterized by
reciprocity and symbiosis. Twenty years since its inceptions, BIM has completely
justified its raison d'etre by churning out more than thousands of
business leaders serving in myriad organizations world over.
