Siva Sivani Institute of Management is run by the S.P. Sampathy's Siva Sivani Educational Society, and was found by
Sri S.P. Sampathy who was running the prestigious and internationally renowned Siva Sivani Public Schools for more than four decades. Approved by the All India Council for Technical Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India, New Delhi and without affiliation to any University, Siva Sivani Institute of Management started functioning as an autonomous institute in 1992. Located in the suburbs of twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad, far from the madding crowd, about 6 Km. from Bowenpally along the National Highway No.7, Siva Sivani Institute of Management has an enviable environment - serene, spacious and stupendous. CAMPUS & ACADEMIC FACILITIES

Class Room Environment: The classroom environment comprises of the State of the Art fully networked 'paperless' classrooms consisting of dedicated classroom LCD Projector, Smart Board, Integrated Audio Visual System and suitable software to drive and integrate all these IT components and students' laptops. In addition, all the classrooms are also provided with internet connectivity and 3 tier wireless network with a central server hosting archives of files and data base facilitating high speed intra class communication, storage and retrieval of teaching learning material. This sophisticated high tech environment facilitates group learning through process of interaction and participation, provides access to the body of knowledge globally as well as locally and creates a true and reliable learning environment of problem solving and decision making right in the classroom. Augmentation plans on the environment include a cyber corridor, Wi-fi enabled IT components, full fledged e-library giving the freedom of any time any place (on campus) learning to students.

Library: Vishal Memorial Library with more than 7500 books in various titles, 62 journals, both national and international, over 50 Video Cassettes and over 75 CDs, is at the disposal of the students and the faculty for expanding their horizon of knowledge. An e-Library, which provides access to virtually unlimited number of books, journals and contemporary literature to the faculty and students to support their research base, is in the process of trial.

The Transport: The Institute provides free transport facility. Bus service is available from L.B. Nagar and Mehdipatnam as starting points, covering important points in twin cities on prescribed routes. This facility is provided to ensure that all the students reach the Campus on time.

Accommodation:  Residential accommodation is available for outstation candidates on campus. The institute has major expansion plans to convert its programme into a fully residential one at the earliest.

He holds his B.Com.(Hons) from the prestigious IIMC, Hyderabad and also Master's Degree in Business Administration from Osmania University.
He has specialized in the area of Finance. He has been associated with the Management and Administration of the Institute since its inception, 1992. He has synthesized the theory and practice of management in the administration of the affairs of the Institute and quickly positioned it among the reputed Management Institutes in the country.

Prof. M. Kamalakar
Asst. Vice-President-SSGI

He holds M.Tech Degree from JNTU, P.G. Diploma in Computer Systems (IPE), and Diploma in Management from AIMA, New Delhi. He has about 37 years of experience in Industry, Consulting, Training, and Teaching. He is instrumental in developing technology enhanced classrooms in SSIM. His industry related research interest includes Skill Development, training of Work Force, Inventory Management & Systems Development.

Prof. G.S. Narsing Rao
Dean & Chief Mentor

He holds PGDM from IIM, Ahmedabad and B. Tech from Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University. He has more than 5 years of teaching experience in some well known Institutes of Management and about 27 years of experience in Industry, at decision-making levels. He has made significant contributions in industries covering Business Process Outsourcing (BPO), IT Enabled Services (ITES), Consumer Durables, Telecommunications, Computers and Office Automation. He has also designed and conducted training programmes on Personal Selling Skills Communication & Negotiation Skills, Emotional Intelligence for Corporates including NTPC, HAL, ECIL. He is a Member of Indian Society for Training and Development and Member of Hyderabad Management Association. He was the Secretary of Visakhapatnam Information Technology Association (VITA).

She holds a Master's Degree in Commerce from Osmania University. She has 12 years experience in the Institute. Her current areas of interest include creation of uninterrupted, round the clock co-ordination and communication facility for the Group Institutions including SSIM.

Prof. K.S. Ramachandra Rao
Director, Placements & Promotion

He holds M.Sc. (Rank Holder) from SV University, MBA (Finance) from IGNOU, and DIB, DBM, DFS, CAIIB from Indian Institute of Bankers & LLB from Utkal university. He had more than 25 years of experience in the banking industry having worked in Andhra Bank & Lord Krishna Bank in various capacities. He is an academic counsellor and official examiner for Indian Institute of Bankers. He has been visiting faculty for Management Institutes. Presently he is pursuing his Ph.D from Osmania University. His areas of interest as a faculty are Banking, Finance Behavioral aspects. Currently he oversees the student admissions and placements for all the courses, besides promotional activities of the institute.

Prof. S.F. Chandra Shekar

He holds a first class Master's Degree in social work with specialisation in HRM from Osmania University. His Ph.D. is in the work systems and quality of work experiences from Osmania University. He also worked as management trainee at Hindustan Cables Ltd., Diamps Corporation, Ramakrishna Pharmaceuticals, Apollo Hospitals, ASCI and Hinduja Health Care Management. He has published more than 40 technical papers in professional management journals, presented 15 seminars in National and International forums submitted seven project reports to Govt. of India and two reports to corporation bodies. He was a resource person for training executives, supervisors and artisans at BHEL, L&T and several NGO's like CHAI, Action Aid, and St. Joseph' Society to name a few. His area of interests includes research in health care, behavioral services, performance management and high performance work systems.

He holds a B.Tech. degree from IIT, Kharagpur and PGDM from IIM, Ahmedabad. He had 3 decades of corporate experience having worked in top organisations ranging from manufacturing to software. He has worked in BHEL, Voltas, Kampsax etc., in different capacities. He also consulted in the field of Management. His areas of interest in academics are Marketing, Project Management & Operations Management.

Prof. V.G. Chari
Professor and Head-Finance

He is a professional with rich industrial and academic experience spanning over 27 years. His qualifications include M.Com, CFA, CAIIB, DBM (IIB), DFS (IIB), LIII(III) covering the areas of Finance, Banking and Insurance. He also possesses qualifications in software - ERP (Oracle) and Java. He was associated with Andhra Bank - a public sector bank over 17 years in various capacities like Manager, Faculty Member, Financial Analyst and Investment Analyst. He was with ICFAI for over 5 years as Professor in ICFAI B-School, Chief Manager-Marketing CFA and other programs and Dean of ICFAI-IT Centre and Meritum college. He worked as Vice President of Pan-India IT Training company at Mumbai and Delhi, Chief Operating Officer of Secunderabad Software Services. He was the Registrar and Asst. Dean of International Institute for Insurance and Finance (IIIF). He also put in service as Director (Development) of a Private university.
Presently he is pursuing his Ph.D in Bancassurance (Banking + Insurance). He is a resource person to various UGC Programs in Osmania and Kakatiya Universities.

He has been in teaching since 1987, partly in a reputed organization in the state of Andhra Pradesh, college of management studies GITAM for over 14 years. He has also published a good number of papers in referee journals and presented a number of papers in national and international seminars. He holds M.Sc. Degree from Gulbarga University and P.G.D.C.A. He has working experience of 11 years in IT& Systems. He is been working with SSIM since last 8 years. Mr. K. Ravikiran Sharma
Lecturer

He holds M. Phil, MSW & PGDMC. He worked with Rai University, Hyderabad, Institute for Technology and Management, Warangal centre and Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheswara Institute for Management Development, Mysore. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D thesis. He served as a teaching assistant at IIT Bombay for three semesters and as a MHRD Institute Assistant at IIT Roorkee for a semester. Lately, he has been recognized as a successful Indian alumnus by his England alma mater, Southampton Solent University, England. He has published nine research papers in various sources. He has conducted several executive development programmes for the corporates. His areas of interest are human resources, organizational behaviour and communication.

Mr. Kulbir Singh

He is an MTech and MBA, specialized in Systems and Finance. With around 8 years of service, he has worked in the fields of computer science, management and information technology offering his services to the corporate bodies and the academic institutions. Earlier, he had worked with Church P.G.College, Secunderabad, BKSJ Engineering College, Amritsar, Apollo Institute of Hospital Administration, Hyderabad. He has presented and published few papers in the seminars and journals. His current interests include designing & developing software applications for Banking, Insurance, Manufacturing, Human Resource, etc. using VB. Net/C#. Net/ ASP. Net, SQL Server 2000/0racle, C/ C++, Rational Rose; Decision Support Systems, E-commerce, and Business Intelligence & Knowledge Management. He is presently pursuing his Ph.D. in Knowledge Management.

Mr. Shyam Sunder Rao
Librarian

He holds M. Phil Degree from Algappa University in Library and Information Sciences, Master of Library and Information Sciences from IGNOU, M.Com from Osmania University, Post Graduate Diplomas in Computer Programming (SETWIN) and Library Automation & Networking from University of Hyderabad. He is pursuing his Ph.D. from IGNOU in the area of Library Services Quality. He worked for over a decade across all operating environments and has extensive networking with various libraries.

1. A Graduate in any discipline, is eligible to apply for admission. Students who have appeared for the final year degree examinations and are awaiting results, can also apply, provided they show a proof of having passed the degree examination at the time of admission into the programme. Under no circumstances a candidate who fails to produce necessary evidence in support of his/her being qualified, by the last date specified for admission, will be permitted to pay the fees.

2. Determination to work hard (for a minimum of 16 hours daily, including classroom sessions) with a commitment to improve continuously and achieve excellence in every endeavour.

The Admission Procedure: A specially appointed Admission Committee headed by the Vice President and Dy. Chief Executive will supervise the whole procedure and finalize the admissions. This Institution is interested in selecting the best motivated candidates and transform them into Success Securing Intelligent Managers (SSIMs). A rigorous admission procedure has been laid down to ensure careful selection of the right candidates.

Selection Criteria: The entire selection procedure is in three stages viz., (1) Written Test of MAT/CAT/ XAT/ATMA/JMET/I-CET (2) Group Discussion and (3) Personal Interview.

Step 1

Written Test: A candidate has to take the Management Aptitude Test (MAT) conducted by the AIMA-CMS between September and May each academic year or CAT/XAT/ATMA/ JMET/I-CET.
Students who wish to join SSIM should apply to the institute separately by obtaining the prescribed application form and complete other formalities such as Registration etc.
Advance intimation will be sent to the candidates who have registered themselves with the Institute to attend the selection process of Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

Step 2

Group Discussion: Group discussion, of half an hour duration, will be conducted. Each group will have 8 to 10 candidates. Two topics will be given in a sealed cover and the group has to select one of the two topics for group discussion.

Step 3

Personal Interview: A panel of members will interest with each candidate individually to test the attitude of the Prospective Management Graduate in addition to oral and aural communication skills. Approximate time for each candidate is 15 minutes.

Selected List: The final list of the candidates and the provisional first list of candidates selected for admission will be displayed at the Institute and on the Website.

The selected candidates of the first list will be required to pay the first instalment of their fees after submitting proof of having met all other requirements of the Institute within the stipulated time from the date of announcing the first list. Vacancies, if any, will be announced. The candidates of the second list will be required to pay the prescribed fees, within the stipulated time from the date of announcing the second list. The date of commencement of classes will be notified separately.

As we are interested in pursuing the path of excellence, the shortlisting of the candidates at every stage will be done in an objective manner. Any pressure for admission brought upon the members of the Admission Committee will result in the candidate getting disqualified.

Reservation of Seats for Certain

Special Categories:
10 per cent of the available seats are reserved for Industry sponsored candidates. Candidates applying for admission in this category would have appeared for MAT/CAT/XAT/ATMA/JMET/ I-CET. The fee payable by this category of candidates is given separetely.

How to apply: The candidates must carefully go through the instructions to candidates and fill the Application cum Registration form and submit the same, before the specified last date.

The candidates will be issued the Hall Ticket and the candidates are required to preserve the Hall Ticket till the admission formalities are completed, and produce the same whenever demanded.

Besides institution building as his passion he is also involved in monitoring the young people in academics and preparing them to the Corporate Career. Currently he is working on vision document for the Siva Sivani Group and on the process of building the required state of the art infrastructure such as cyber corridor, full fledged e-learning environment including e-library, linkages and networking with Management Institutes and other supportive paraphernalia to lead the group to achieve the status of 'Deemed University'.
