ABOUT THE INSTITUTE
The Mission : Fundamental Mission Of a University is its commitment to the pursuit of truth and beauty, to the free development, exchange and debate of ideas, to careful and stimulating dissemination of knowledge, and to scientific and social criticism. Each of these commitments involves teaching, research and service to the community in various form. Accordingly, the Bhavnagar University adopts the nos. of mission statement, which provides a framework. For future academic planning and assessment of exiting programmes.
The M.B.A. Programme : Master of Business Administration [M.B.A.] programme is offered by the Department of Business Administration under the Faculty of Management since 1994. This programme is a two year full time course, spread over four semesters leading to M.B.A. Degree of Bhavnagar University. Each semester is of about 90 working days and the course coverage is sufficiently comprehensive to meet the industrial requirement of good managers.

Computing : The Department has its own full-fledged Computer Centre sufficiently staffed and also having digital facility. This centre being modernized and expanded further in hardware as well as software. The department is having it's own leased line of 64kbps to expose the students with the global networking and development.

Library : Bhavnagar University Central Library has more than 75,000 books including about 12,000 on Management and related subject. Each year, about 4000 books are added to the library. The library also subscribes to more than 300 periodicals on Management and allied subjects. The Department has developed an exclusive library for MBA studnet's. The department library has an attached reading hall.
