ABOUT THE INSTITUTE

The Department of Business Management in the CSS Haryana Agricultural University at Hissar was started in the academic year 1997-98 to generate a class of entrepreneurs and professional managers who can operate business, specially agribusness, commercially and cost-effectively. The first batch of students was well placed in reputed organizations and institutions. The World Bank is financing the building and infrastructure of the department. The entire syllabi of the department has been revised recently. The CCS Haryana Agricultural University is internationally known for its academic standards.

Computing : The department also have a computer lab which is equipped with latest computer hardware and software.

Library : The library of the institute is the hub of its research, teaching and extension activities, the richer the library in its resources, the more effective it can support the programmes of its parent body. The partially air conditioned Nehru Library of the university is housed in a spacious buildng covering 97,700 sq ft of floor space having a stacking capacity of 3,00,000 volumes. Its seating capacity is 650. It has 21 individual study rooms which is a unique feature. Also, sufficient number of books have been purchased for MBA programme.
