ABOUT THE INSTITUTE
Established in 1991, the Department of Management Studies is a professional school of management functioning within the University of Kashmir. The Department is committed to offer quality management education at affordable cost to students selected through a stringent admission process. The University of Kashmir is located about 10 km. away from the city centre Lal Chowk on a beautiful campus spread over an area of 225 acres of land. Established more than 50 years ago, the University has maintained a steady progress in terms of academic growth and expansion. The Department offers a Two Year full time Post-graduate programme leading to the degree of Master of Business Administration.

Accommodation : Accommodation is provided to students in the University hostels on the campus. However, separate application has to be made to the Chief Warden for hostel accommodation. While accommodation is subject to availability most of the out station students usually get it.

Computing : The well equipped computer laboratory of the Department and computer centre of the University provides extensive training and guidance in computer courses, which are a part of the curriculum. The computer facilities provide the students opportunities to interact with complex problem situations and sharpen their decision-making skills and learn the diversity of management. Trained computer professionals are involved to provide support and services to the students.

Library : The department has its own specialist management library, holding all MBA programme core course text books and journals in addition to reference, careers and press collections. The library is frequently updated and expanded to meet specialized needs of management programmes. The library services are manned and maintained by qualified professional staff, who give full assistance to all the library users. The management students also have access to the University's Central Library which happens to be large and well stocked. Its collection on management and allied disciplines helps to broaden the vision of the students.

Step 1
