Note from the Director's Desk (IGTC)

"It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the Indo-German Training Centre (IGTC)!  As a part of the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce, we take pride in nurturing managerial talent for our member companies.

Through our 18-month, intensive program, we facilitate a close interlocking of academic course work and on-the-job training in one learning system, which results into a new qualitative dimension in business administration education.  It is a model wherein the corporates are both - a destination for our students and a full partner in their education.  They are involved at every stage - in the selection, endorsement and admission of the students, curriculum design and development, and practical training and mentoring.

At IGTC, our students study all functional areas of business administration and subsequently apply them to real time industry projects.  Through the practical training, our students learn to cope with the changing job demands and to appreciate the variety of social relationships that exist in the working life.  They gain independence, a sense of responsibility and achievement, and a special source of motivation from their mentors.

As the link between theory and practice is very close, our students develop expert knowledge and professional skills and experience in view of a future challenging management position.  They have a strong identification with their training company that enables them to adapt easily to the company's structure and facilitates final recruitment.  It is, only natural that several organizations foresee a multitude of advantages in investing in our model.

On this note, I invite you to read on and know more about our Training Centre!"

Note from the Director General's Desk (IGCC)

""For years, German companies have been considered industrial leaders, admired globally for their technical expertise, precision, and perfection in planning and execution. One of the undisputed factors, credited for the success of the German industry, has been its world-renowned Dual Training System, wherein the theoretical classes are organized and certified by the Chambers of Commerce, which are autonomous bodies of the private sector, and the practical training is imparted by the corporates themselves.

Acknowledging this factor, we, at the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce have modelled the Dual Training System in India through our Indo-German Training Centre (IGTC) in Mumbai and Chennai, and soon in Bangalore.  We seek to utilize the vast experience of the German companies and the worldwide German Chamber network to bridge the gap for trained manpower in India and, in turn, to provide a boost to India's vast growth potential."

Bernhard Steinruecke
Director General
Indo-German Chamber of Commerce (IGCC)

"Opportunities for a Nation to be dominant on the global map comes once in a life time.  Now is the time for India and the route to achieving the potential is through its young professionals.  In the emerging scenario, IGTC is in a unique position.  The dual system of training which is very relevant to manufacturing companies and successfully practiced in Germany can now be applied in India through the IGTC.  Unlike other Management Schools, only IGTC has the ability to train young managers both on the theory as well as practical experience.  Based on the experience, I am confident with the excellent faculty support, involvement of the German companies and your dedicated leadership, IGTC will play an important role.  The future is for professionals who compete combining managerial excellence with good governance in India."

Dr. Albert Hieronimus

Managing Director,
Mico Bosch

"The youth is the future our Country and equipping them with high quality education, with the relevant industrial skills required for the business will determine how well we make progress in the future.  In this regard the Indo-German Training Centres at Mumbai and Chennai rank among the most reputed and widely-acknowledged training facilities for Post-Graduate students in India.  The course based on the German dual system offers a well integrated combination of conceptual knowledge backed up with diverse industrial & practical exposure. For many consecutive years now, Mico has been hiring students from IGTC and their performance has been commendable.  I wish the IGTC all the best for the future and hope that such facilities would be spread to other major cities in India also."
