ABOUT TASMAC

In just over a decade, TASMAC has carved a niche in the world of management education. An impressive array of programmes and activities has associated TASMAC with consistent quality, over the years.
1990: TASMAC was set up in February 1990 in Mumbai. It began as the Mumbai and Pune centre for a non-traditional American University.
1991: TASMAC moved its operation to Pune in September 1991 and set up the administrative head office and its Professional Skills Development Centre in Pune. For two consecutive years, TASMAC was awarded the "Best Study Centre Award."
1993: TASMAC tied up with the Indian Merchants' Chamber to offer the Diploma in Business Management and Diploma in Export - Import Managements programmes in Pune.
1994: TASMAC was appointed the South Asia office for CSM Institute of Graduate Studies, USA / Canada
1994 - 1998: TASMAC set up over 30 study and examination centres for the CSM IGS programmes. Additional specializations were added in the MBA and the BBA programmes.
1998: * TASMAC was appointed the International Administrative Office of CSM Institute of Graduate Studies, USA/ Canada.
* TASMAC became the first management institute in India to be accredited by Edexcel / BTEC, UK, to offer 10 management programmes.
1999: * TASMAC set up a corporate training division and initially tied up with the Zig Ziglar Corporation, one of the largest training organisations in the United States of America and with the European Bank Training Network (EBTN), Netherlands.
2000: TASMAC set up the Pune campus of the School of Finance and Management in a joint venture agreement with Emile Woolf International, London offering their MBA and BA (Hons) in Business Administration programmes. Oxford Brookes University, the top new University in UK as per the Times Good University Guide, validated TASMAC to offer these programmes in India.
* The TASMAC campus was inaugurated by the then Deputy British High Commissioner, Mr. Michael Bates.
* TASMAC also set up an Overseas Student Recruitment Division to operate as the South Asia Admissions Office of School of Finance and Management. The division has since expanded and works with various British and Swiss based universities/colleges.
2001: * University of Wales, UK validated the MBA and BA (Hons) programmes offered at TASMAC Pune. The MBA programme was validated to be delivered through the part-time mode of study for executives and also through the full-time mode of study.
 * TASMAC set up its own Information Centres in Mumbai, Kolkata and Hyderabad. It also set up a massive network of 97  Counselling Centres in 47 cities across the country in addition to centres in
Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka.
* TASMAC introduced the Diploma in International Airlines and Tourism Management and Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing Management Programmes of the Indian Merchants' Chamber, Mumbai.
* TASMAC received the ISO 9001 : 2000 certification, the first management institute in India to obtain this prestigious award.

2002: The first batch of University of Wales commenced on February 4, 2002 and was inaugurated by Dr. Paul Smith, Director, British Council, Mumbai.
* University of Wales, UK validated the MSc in Information Systems programme.
* TASMAC set up its fourth information centre in Bangalore.
* TASMAC was accredited and recognised by the British Accreditation Council for Independent Further and Higher Education (BAC). TASMAC is the first and the only institute outside UK/Europe to be accredited and recognised by BAC.
2003: * TASMAC Management Education Consultancy division was established to act as Education Consultants, to ensure the quality and standards of British higher education offered in India through partners of these universities.
* TASMACs second, well equipped campus was set up at a prime location at Bangalore. This is a four storied building with
up-to-date facilities.
* TASMAC Consulting, a business solutions provider is set up to partner with industry & business in pursuing solutions to
business related issues & problems. TASMAC Consulting will strive for developing long term beneficial relationships with clients through value-added consulting & customized Management Development Programmes (MDP).
* TASMAC introduced the Part Time MBA Programme for working professionals from October 2003. This is a top ranked result - oriented business programme delivered in a format that accommodates the demands of working life.
* TASMAC Management Review was launched on 31st October 2003 by Mr. John Nance, Head of Education, British High Commission.
2004: * TASMAC set up a Centre for Distance Education to offer its Masters Diploma programmes in Business Administration in February, 2004.
* TASMAC was appointed as the South Asia Branch of The Association of Business Executives, UK in April 2004 to offer its certificate, diploma and advanced diploma programmes.
* In October 2004, Business India, in its annual survey of India's best B-Schools placed TASMAC in the A+ category, ranking it among the top B-Schools in the country.
* 'Connecting', the monthly publication of British Council came up with a feature showcasing TASMAC. It was titled "Linking Partners".
* TASMAC Student Homes, Bangalore was established.
2005: * TASMAC appointed as Representatives of the Validation Unit of the University of Wales, UK.
* TASMAC's third, well equipped campus set up at a prime location in Kolkata. TASMAC Kolkata offers the MBA and BA (Hons) programmes validated by University of Wales, UK.
* The TASMAC Kolkata campus was inaugurated by the British Deputy High Commissioner, Dr. Andrew Hall on July 27, 2005.
2006: * TASMAC Bangalore campus moved to the new state-of-the-art campus in June 2006. This campus has all the facilities and infrastructure in the true TASMAC tradition and it offers an equally attractive option to the students to gain a highly regarded British degree. .
* The TASMAC Bangalore campus was inaugurated by Mr. Rod Pryde, Director, British Council, India on September 14, 2006.
* University of Wales, UK validated the MA Advertising, MA Public Relations and MA Journalism programmes offered at TASMAC Pune, Bangalore and Kolkata campuses.
* University of Greenwich, UK validated the MSc Computing, MSc Computer Systems and Networking and MSc Enterprise Software Engineering programmes offered at TASMAC Pune, Bangalore and Kolkata campuses.
* TASMAC set up information centres in Kochi and Bangalore.
* TASMAC received approval from the University of Rio Grande, USA to offer the MBA in Entrepreneurship programme at the TASMAC campuses in Pune, Bangalore and Kolkata.
2007: * TASMAC's fourth campus, set up at a prime location at Mumbai. TASMAC Mumbai offers the MBA Part Time programme validated by the University of Wales, UK.
2008: * TASMAC's fifth campus and its first prestigious international campus set up at London. TASMAC London - School of Business offers MBA Full Time, MBA Part Time and BA (Hons) in Business Administration programmes validated by the University of Wales, UK.
* TASMAC announced its Global Programme in Business Leadership.
* TASMAC rated as an A+ institution by Business India for the fifth consecutive year (2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 &: 2008).
* TASMAC became the first company in India to receive the ISO 9001: 2008 Certification from DNV.

Since its inception, over 10,000 students have studied at TASMAC for various management programmes.

CAMPUS & ACADEMIC FACILITIES

THE PUNE CAMPUS:

TASMAC is located in Viman Nagar, a modern cosmopolitan suburb of Pune. The School occupies the whole of a five storied building. In addition to administrative offices, library, conference room, seminar room, computer labs, there international level up-to-date classrooms with capacities ranging from 50 students to small focus groups of 10 / 12 student.

Library:
The Institute library contains:
* Over 7000 books on management, related topics.
* 500 video cassettes on management topics, personal development.
* 200 audio cassettes on management topics, personal development.
* Project reports submitted by past students on a variety of management subjects.
* National and International professional journals & magazines.

Audio- Video Room:
The Campus has audio-video facilities within the library.

Computer Facilities:
The computer labs incorporate the latest hardware and software facilities. All systems are networked and have access to Internet.

Cafeteria:
Our cafeteria provides wholesome lunch, drinks and snacks at highly competitive prices.

Gymnasium:
TASMAC has tied up with 'Body Talk' - a fitness gym for the benefit of its students. Body Talk, a short walking distance from TASMAC, is a well equipped gym with various programmes, including weight loss, weight gain and power yoga. With well-trained staff (internationally certified), Body Talk is dedicated to providing the finest level of service in the fitness community. TASMAC students can now, after a hard day's work, exercise on machines, free weights and cardiovascular section which consists of tread mills, cycles and other indoor simulators. There is also the aerobics workout for those who like to dance their way to fitness.

Leisure:
A pool table, a table tennis table and volleyball court on the campus allows students to unwind after classes.

TASMAC Student Homes:
At Pune, TASMAC Student Homes is a beautiful 7 storey building within G.N. Nebula in the plush residential locality of Viman Nagar, around 10 minutes walking distance from the campus building. First floor of TASMAC Student Homes has a dining area, a recreation room, a kitchen and Manager's (Homes) room. The second to the sixth floor has 10 single rooms and 25 double rooms. Every room is well equipped with basic amenities keeping the comfort of students in mind. Students have access to a landscaped garden, gymnasium, and swimming pool plus a wonderful ambience in one of the best housing complexes in Viman Nagar.

Students have the choice of choosing either a single room or a twin sharing room and the rent for each of these is: single 5000/- per month and twin sharing room 4500/- per month. This inclusive of breakfast and dinner on all days of the week and breakfast, lunch and dinner on Sundays.

Accommodation at the TASMAC Student Homes is on first come, first served basis. Otherwise, your requisition for accommodation will be on a waiting list and you will be helped by our Manager (Admissions) to finalize suitable private accommodation for you as per your preference.

THE BANGALORE CAMPUS:

The city of Bangalore has acquired a unique status in the country today. Once known for its salubrious climate and beautiful gardens, Bangalore is now emerging as a hub of commercial, industrial and IT activity. Globally known MNCs from IT to Biotechnology, from Engineering to Finance, from Automotive to Pharma have set up their offices in Bangalore. Giants like Infosys, Wipro, TCS and Biocon to name a few, have taken cognizance of the fact that Bangalore will play a critical role in the developing economy of the country.

A number of international companies have set up shop or stationed their representatives in this city. Bangalore is certainly in the limelight today and has become an attractive destination for the new generation. With good climate, easy availability of accommodation and excellent educational and recreational facilities, Bangalore offers the youth of India a much coveted home-base.

Perceiving the crucial position of Bangalore, TASMAC decided to expand its activities in this city of the 21st century by selecting a very prominent locality of Hosur Road, the road that leads to the Electronic City, the IT hub of Bangalore. Hosur Road, as most people know, is a swiftly developing suburb of the city and home to some of the top-notch IT companies and leading corporates. Very recently, the government has announced an elevated highway on Hosur Road leading to the Electronic City, further emphasizing the importance of this road.

TASMAC, therefore zeroed-in to acquire a mammoth 4-storied structure on Hosur Road that would house its new generation, ultra modern education centre. This new campus building is 3 ½ times larger than the previous structure and offers an array of the finest features a campus can offer. To begin with, the building itself stands out in all its majesty with its impressive glass facade. It is centrally air-conditioned with 24- hour power back-up. Once inside, you experience the sheer vastness of space; a host of centrally air-conditioned classrooms with accommodation ranging from 15 to 60 students - well designed to give the students a feel of comfort; a state-of-the art seminar room that can accommodate approximately 250 people. Moving on to the library, there is an impressive range of books on management, IT and media, in addition to an excellent collection of video cassettes and CDs on these subjects. Connected to the library, is a reading room that houses a number of journals, magazines and newspapers, and a Video Room - where students can view a variety of CDs and cassettes on their subjects of choice and study.

The entire campus is WiFi enabled with 24x7 availability of Internet. There is a huge computer lab that houses the latest in hardware and software so students have access to online information and support. There are student breakout rooms: a modern concept that enables students to have fruitful discussions and work on assignments individually or in groups.

THE KOLKATA CAMPUS:

The TASMAC Kolkata campus is housed in a beautiful four storied building in Sector V, Salt Lake City. Launched in February 2005, this campus has all the facilities and infrastructure in the true TASMC tradition and it offers an equally attractive option to the student s to gain a highly regarded British Management undergraduate or post graduate degree. Classroom capacities range from 20 seats to 50 seats. In addition, there is a seminar room, a conference room and a student common room.

Library:
* A well stocked library with books on management related topics.
* CDs and video cassettes on management topics and personal development.

* National and international professional journals & magazines.

Computer Facilities:
