APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

Academic Eligibility:

     Engineering Graduates only.
* Other specialization
     Bachelors Degree in any discipline
* Final Year students may also apply.

Test Scores:
Candidate must appear for IIMS written test or ATMA / CAT / MAT Entrance Examination. In case of later a copy of the test scores must be submitted to the admissions office.

Other Eligibility:
Applicants are required to submit copy of their passport at the time of admission.

For NRI Candidates:
Must be son/daughter of a NRI.
Proof of NRI status of parent(s) authenticated by the Indian Embassy in that country, should be attached along with the application.
The tuition fee will be three times that of open merit student.

COURSE STRUCTURE

INTERNSHIPS:
IIMS requires 1 month winter internship and 2 month summer internship. Assistance would be given to all the qualifying students to get an internship in their field of interest. While on the international internship, IIMS would take care of to and fro journey for all the qualifying candidates, students have to take care of their food and living expenses. International internship exposes the students to a global arena and the international business environment.
Internships are on merit basis and all interested candidates have to clear a qualifying exam and meet the requirements of the corporate. Considering the competitive world, students have to work hard and prove their merit.

PLACEMENTS:
100% placement assistance is assured to all the eligible candidates. IIMS takes an effort to cross the international boundaries if opportunity demand so.

DIRECTOR'S MESSAGE

International Institute of Management Studies, (IIMS) has been conceived because of the perceived need to impart the very best quality of education in the fields of management and Information Technology. As more and more institutes are being raised to meet the growing demand for post graduate education from all sections of society, what stands out is the increasing gap between what is taught in various schools of instruction and industry needs. On a number of occasions, I have heard functionaries from the middle and top level management of the industry complain that students passing out from seats of learning offering post graduates degrees are not up to the mark-they either lack professional and technical knowledge, lack people skills or are not provided practical orientation during the course of their programmes-the list is ever growing!

IIMS would constitute a humble effort to play a part in the evolution of a student from "raw material" to a "package" that is acceptable to the industry. At the end of our programmes, we aim to achieve the objectives of making the student physically and mentally robust, more people oriented, dedicated and determined, holistically trained and above all imbued with the zeal and excitement that is so very essential for a youngster aspiring to go places.

The need for education institutes offering quality education in the country is ever growing. State governments, despite their willingness to do so, cannot assist in this cause entirely, mainly due to paucity of funds. The void therefore must be filled up by private sector initiatives. An institute plays an exceedingly vital role in shaping the character, knowledge and qualities of its young students.

The International Institute of Management Studies, a private sector enterprise, of which I am proud to be the Dean offers high quality and value-based Management Education to shape the career and character of young, impressionable and aspiring individuals. a) Buildings and Class Rooms: Modem, well it and airy classrooms with latest teaching aids like, LCD, OHP, T. V, Tape Recorder etc.
b) Library: State of the art Library with several books and periodicals in various fields of Management & Information Technology along with a reading hall.
c) Lab:
* Well equipped LAB with a capacity to accommodate 60 students
* LAB is connected with a LAN and also a Wi-Fi enabled
* Internet connectivity with 128 Kbps leased line available

With the exception of Pune local students (residing with parents, in Pune) it is essential that all out station students stay together. Therefore IIMS has arranged residential accommodation in separate buildings for girls and boys. Students' accommodation fund includes rent for the building, 24 hours security services, cold and hot water facilities, premises house keeping, consumables & implements, maintenance, rent for furniture, administrative expenses etc. Every student is provided with a steel cupboard, bed, table and a chair besides other amenities in their living rooms. Every room is shared by 2-3 students. Hostel is WIFI enabled.

* Out station students have compulsory Hostel accommodation for the first year, institute would be arranging for private flats.
* Hostel would be separate for boys & girls and with in proximity of the institute.

Course Highlights: The autonomous programme is designed considering the global work environment and challenging role of managers in the current economy.
