Semester - II

Accommodation/Hostel Facilities : The institute provides furnished residential accommodation for both girls and boys. Almost every student from outstation can avail such accommodation. But in the event of more applicants the preference will be given to those who come from the outside states. The residential arrangements are under the direct supervision of the Superintendent who is assisted by the Asst. Superintendent, to ensure smooth management. The students are required to abide by the rules of the hostel and to maintain discipline at all times.

Computing : Adequate number of computers are available with the institute to cover the academic & organisational needs. A course equivalent to the 'O' level curriculum is an obligatory module for every student. Computer facilities are also kept open for the students even beyond the academic hours to encourage them in acquiring advanced skills and knowledge in IT through the Internet. The lab is also equipped to carry out research & consultancy assignments.

Library : The library has a rich collection of academic books, reference manuals, journals, periodicals, etc., and is regularly replenished. It caters to the entire demand of students, consultants, research scholars and members of the IMIS Professional Association.

Course Fee :
The total fees for this programme is Rs.97,000/- (Rupees Ninety Seven thousands) only to be paid in four installments as follows :
1st installment : At the time of admission : Rs.37,000/-
2nd installment : on or before 20th October, 2001 : Rs.25,000/-
3rd installment : on or before 20th March 2002 : Rs.20,000/-
4th installment : on or before 20th July 2002 : Rs.15,000/-
The fees can be paid by cash or by draft in favour of 'Institute of Management & Information Science' payable at Bhubaneswar.

Hostel Fees :
For Boys : The total fees is Rs.14,000/- including the caution money of Rs.350/- which is refundable. At the time of admission, the students have to pay Rs.8,000/- and the balance Rs.6,000/- in the second year.
For Girls : The total fees is Rs.16,800/- including the caution money of Rs.350/- which is refundable. At the time of admission, the students have to pay Rs.9,600/- and the balance Rs.7,200/- in the second year.

Step 1	The selection will be made on the basis of scores of XAT, conducted by XLRI, Jamshedpur on 7th January 2001, or MAT, conducted by AIMA on 3rd December, 2000 or IMIS Test, followed by G.D. & P.I., which will be conducted at Bhubaneswar, Calcutta, Jamshedpur, Guwahati, Hyderabad & Delhi.
How to apply : All the candidates seeking admission to this institute either through XAT/MAT/IMIS entrance test, are required to obtain the application form and information bulletin by remitting Rs.350/- (three hundred fifty only) through a Bank Draft in favour of "Institute of Management & Information Science" payable at Bhubaneswar. The filled-in application form is required to be submitted to IMIS office.
(a)	Candidate who will appear for XLRI Admission Test (XAT) on 7th January, 2001, has to mail the request for XAT application form to the Admission Co-ordinator, XLRI, CH Area (East), Jamshedpur-831 001 with a non-refundable draft for Rs.500/- in favour of XLRI, Jamshedpur drawn on SBI, XLRI Branch (Code 4660) clearly specifying the Test Centre. For details please refer the XLRI Advertisement.
(b)	Candidate who will appear for Management Aptitude Test (MAT) on 3rd December, 2000 should obtain the MAT Bulletin by remitting Rs.500/- (five hundred only), through a Bank Draft in favour of "AIMA-CME", payable at New Delhi from All India Management Association, 14, Institutional area, Lodhi Road, New Delhi-110 003 or from its nodal centres. While filling up the MAT application, candidates must mention that they are applying for IMIS, Bhubaneswar. (MI code no. 7505). For details please refer the MAT Advertisement.
(c)	Candidate, who will appear for the entrance test being conducted by this institute are required to remit test fee of Rs.200/- (two hundred only) through a Bank Draft in favour of "Institute of Management & Information Science." payable at Bhubaneswar or by cash, along with the application form. The date of entrance test shall be intimated to the applicants. The last date for submission of Application Form for IMIS Test is 5th February, 2001.
