Class Rooms
The amphitheatre type class rooms are air-conditioned and have multimedia & audio-visual equipment to facilitate effective learning. The amphitheatres are designed to promote interaction between the faculty and the students. Each classroom has internet connectivity through wireless local area network.

Hostel Facilities
The MBA programme is fully residential with separate hostel facilities for boys and girls. Both the hostels are located on the campus. The hostel rooms are spacious and well furnished. The hostels have sports and other recreational facilities, such as Dish TV, common room for interaction etc. All the hostel rooms have Internet connectivity round the clock. Hygienic and healthy food is provided in a centrally located mess adjacent to the hostels under the guidance of the mess committee having both students and faculty members. The hostels have open space around with greenery & plantation inside the campus. Students working on their laptops in the open lawns through Wi-Fi internet connectivity are a common sight in the evenings.

Cafeteria
The University has a well -furnished cafeteria to cater to the refreshment needs of the students, faculty, staff and guests. It serves as a formal and informal interaction point of the Institute.

Bank
IDBI Bank has a branch inside the campus with ATM facility exclusively for the University.

Gymnasium
A well-equipped modern gymnasium caters to the health need of the students, faculty and staff under the guidance of a professionally qualified trainer.

Medical Health Centre
The University has a well – equipped health centre with a full time nursing staff and a visiting doctor.

Utility Store
The inmates of the campus can get daily utilities from this store, which is situated inside the premises of the University.

Learning Resource Centre
The University has a central library with growing collection of books. Institute of management subscribes to a large number of national and international journals and has subscribed to EBSCO. The library is automated through KOHA (open source software) and is integrated to the University automation system. A multi-storey building is coming up to house the library in 2012 with all state of the art services.

MBA Programmes:
A three-year bachelor's degree (10+2+3) or equivalent in any discipline from a recognized University with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA. Students appearing in the final examination of bachelor's degree may also apply. The candidates must have appeared in CAT, MAT, ATMA or any other national level qualifying test for Management Degree.
Five- Year Integrated MBA:
Students must have passed 10+2 in any discipline with 50% marks or equivalent grade. Students appearing in final examination of 10+2 may also apply. Besides this, the students will have to qualify in the Integrated MBA test (IMBAT) conducted by the Institute.

VICE CHANCELLOR'S PROFILE

Dr. Upinder Dhar

A renowned educationalist and academician, Dr Dhar, Vice Chancellor of the University has over three decades of experience in post graduate teaching, corporate training, faculty development, consultancy and research.

Before Joining JKLU, he was the Director, Institute of Management and Dean –Faculty of Management, Nirma University of Science and Technology, Ahemedabad. Earlier, he was Professor and Head of General Management at NITIE, Mumbai, a national Institute established by the United Nations. He has been a guest faculty at the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs), Kolkota and Indore.

MANAGEMENT DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMMES (MDPs)

The University has set up a dedicated Management Development Centre for  training the  executives.  It has 23 air- conditioned rooms for accommodating 37 participants besides other new age training facilities like video conferencing. Training being the USP of the Institute,  the faculty has wide experience in industrial training and in designing and conducting the management development programmes.

FACULTY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMMES (FDPs)

The Institute has conducted numbers of case writing workshops, which had a very good response from the faculty participants working in various B-schools across the country.  Six cases developed during these workshops have been registered with European Case Clearing House.

RESEARCH

Faculty members of the Institute have published their works widely in various national and international journals. The Institute facilitates the faculty with seed money for path breaking research in various functional areas of management.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

The Institute sponsors/deputes the faculty members for national and international conferences to keep in touch with developments in various functional areas of   management

Dr. S. Bhargava

Dr. S Bhargava is well known Professor of People and Entrepreneurial Management. He has been in teaching and research profession for more than 30 years in the Institutes, such as Shailesh J Mehta School of Management (SJMSOM), Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Lucknow and IIM, Ahmedabad.

He has been the Co-Chair of Organizational Behavior track of the Academy of Australia & New Zealand Management and on review panel of the Academy of Management. He is on advisory board of international and national professional bodies.

His has undertaken consultancy for the Government (MHRD, MOT) and private organizations. His M. Phil/doctoral students are faculty members at the IIMs, IIFT, IITs, SP Jain, researchers at various Universities in USA, advisors at Population Development Council and consultants in multinational companies such as PWC.

He was awarded Sardar Patel Ratna Award for 'Life time Academic Leadership' by Sardar Patel Foundation, New Delhi in the year 2011.
