ABOUT THE INSTITUTE
Adaikalamatha Institute of Management (AIM), located on Tiruchy-Thanjavur Highway at Vallam, started its full-time MBA programme from the academic year 1994-95. Presence of large industries in Tiruchirappalli and Neyveli enables the students to have practical exposure to management practices of modern industries and business. Being located in a rural environment, the strength of the Institute lies in attracting students from rural areas. The Institute, surrounded by many educational institutions, is affiliated to Bharathidasan University and adopts its syllabus using semester pattern.

ELIGIBILITY

Step 1	Admission Test Candidates are selected on the basis of an Admission Test conducted by the Institution as per the AICTE Norms. The questions would be objective type.
Step 2	Group Discussion The selected candidates are put into groups to discuss a case or a problem or on a general topic. The selection committee absorbs the involvement of the candidates in the group. Based on this the candidates are selected.
Step 3	Interview The selected candidates have to undergo an interview also by the Selection Committee in order to test the aptitude and the communicative skills.

Accommodation/Hostel Facilities : Spacious accommodation available for every students, several specialization is available at the option of the students. The Institute offers separate hostels for men and women at moderate rates. It Provides good environment to the students for learning. It provides delicious and hygienic food.

Computing : Exclusive computer centre with 25 pentium II computers and colour monitors. In addition, separate Internet Accounts from DOT, SATYAM and DISHNET available.

Library : The college has a main library, which has a collection of 7000 volumes collected within a short span of time. More than 2,500 volumes of Books are available in the library on various functional and core areas of Business Administration. There are 38 periodicals and journals including 10 international journals available in the Library. The library is open between 9.00 A.M. and 8.00 P.M. on all working days and between 9.00 A.M. and 4.00 P.M. on Saturdays. In addition to the main library, the institute has a separate departmental library exclusively for the use of M.B.A. students.

COURSE STRUCTURE

The applicant should hold a Bachelor's Degree of the Bharathidasan University or its equivalent in any field including Arts, Science, Commerce, Engineering or Social Science. They should have secured a minimum of 50% of marks in part III. Candidates who are appearing for their final bachelor or equivalent degree exam are also eligible to apply, provided they produce evidence of having passed the required examination with a minimum of 50% marks in part III. Evidence for such a pass should be produced before 31st July positively.
